CLASSES AVAILABLE AND GOALS FOR EACH LEVEL.
Beginning I & II
At the end of this level, students should be able to give and ask for
basic information e.g. name, place of origin, occupation, address, phone number.
Describe people, places, and things. Talk about weather, favorite pastimes, and
describe their everyday routine . Also, at the end of these two levels,
students have been introduced to the present, past, and future tenses, and have
accumulated enough vocabulary to be able to maintain a basic conversation.
Intermediate I & II
Students, at this level, are expected to tell a connected story in the
present, past and future. At the beginning of this level, there is a strong
emphasis on the grammatical structure; at the end, the emphasis is on oral production. A student
at this level, is already reading newspaper articles, and writing compositions
on various topics. At this point most of the main grammatical structures have
been introduced.
Advanced I & II
The advanced student should be able to talk about current events, of
general interest; as well as be able to handle everyday situations with more
confidence. His/Her vocabulary should have greatly increased, making it
possible to have a more complete oral comprehension. At the same time,
oral, and written production should have increased 75%.
Maintenance class
This is a reading, writing, and conversation class, for students who have
covered most of the grammatical structures of the language. In this class,
students read and discuss books, and watch movies, in order to increase their vocabulary,
improve comprehension, and get an insight into the culture of this country.
Each level may be completed after 24 hours of classes.

* Price includes class materials for Beginning I level only. An
additional charge of $25.00 will be required for a book, for all other levels.

person, from Monday to Friday 9:00 am. to 2:00 pm or, 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Payments are made monthly, in advance. We only accept cash or checks made
out to CLC.
